JUICE Drum and Bass began in Bend, Oregon in 2005, as a monthly event curated by Chemynne Perlingieri, motivated by the desire to bring drum and bass to the region. After continuously pushing the night and its brand spanning over two decades, JUICE has grown to international recognition and is the longest running DnB night in Oregon. Moving north, JUICE continued on in Portland after 2009, hosting local, regional, and international producers focused on the deep soulful, jazzy sounds of drum and bass.

The night ran monthly & bi-monthly for years in different Portland venues, landing at The Whiskey Bar in 2018 until the pandemic shut the doors of all venues in 2020. Moving their feature nights to Twitch during the pandemic, JUICE showcased special monthly events for local-to-international talent via the platform to keep the vibes flowing and focus on the DnB artists while everyone was in lockdown. JUICE DnB currently continues to promote the genre through weekly InBetween Sessions on twitch.tv/juicedrumandbass (every Tues/Thurs/Sun 7-11pm), and occasional last-Friday-of-the-month features onstream with special guests. Select in-person shows can be found 1-3x a year in Portland at Holocene since 2022, which are also streamed live to Twitch from the club.

Growing the brand of JUICE as a staple in the Pacific Northwest music scene, JUICE has hosted DnB’s finest out to Oregon—including DJ Marky, Goldie, Makoto, Degs, LTJ Bukem, Dub Phizix & Strategy, Bassline Smith, Ray Keith, Nookie, Bladerunner, Total Science, Lenzman, Big bUd, Kubiks & Lomax, ASC, World of Drum and Bass, Method One, Stunna, Random Movement, Artificial Intelligence, Dave Owen, T.R.A.C., MC Fava, Atlantic Connection, Utah Jazz, dBridge, OmUnit, Technimatic, Zero T, Spectrasoul, LSB & DRS, Digital, Commix, Redeyes, Command Strange, Emma G & MC Tali, Marcus Visionary, Sofi Mari, KJ Sawka of Pendulum, Winslow, Reid Speed, BCee, Seba, S.P.Y.,—the list goes on. Alongside running a design & branding business of 22 years (Mulch Design, now retired), Chemynne’s love-of-DnB-travels promoting JUICE have spanned across the coasts and the UK. While DJing has never been her directive, her mixes have been featured on local and European radio, DnBRadioBrazil, Bassdrive.com, 916Junglist Radio, RenegadeRadio.co.uk, on Twitch Front Page features, and on Arrested Development’s online radio show Musical Safari. JUICE DnB has now logged near 3900 hours streaming (with over 315,000 hours watched by listeners) with her husband 'tbone' and guests on Twitch.

Great support and backbone to JUICE events comes from an amazing team; combined with some of the area’s finest: residents Definition Positive (DnB Radio PDX/Salem), Revival (Soul Deep Recs/Fokuz/PDX), Praderz (Deep Space Recs/UK/PDX), Subfugitive (PDX/VA), Axiom (PDX) and MC Questionmark (PDX/LA/UK). Sprouting from JUICE, BassRoutes Agency, LLC launched in late 2018 emerging from a devotion to the music and a drive to support the artists on a deeper level. BassRoutes’ mission is to provide exceptional agency service to comprehensively meet artist’s tour and promotional needs.
